Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in, day out. In this workshop we will be focusing on the small details that over time when done correctly and consistently will lead to huge changes in your body, mind and spirit. In order to gain the full benefits of this practice we must focus on doing them correctly. As Bikram says, “This Hatha Yoga is for everyone and every body. It doesn't matter how well you do each posture, only that you try the right way. Even if you can only do 1% of the posture correct, you will receive 100% of the benefit medically if you try the right way.”
In our first Focusing on the Details Workshop we will breakdown Pranayama and Kapalabhati breathing, the Sit-up and the Spine-Twisting Posture, covering the details that are often missed in a 90 minute class. By bringing awareness to the minor details, we are able to build our practice upon a strong foundation.
We will also go over the 5 Tibetan Rites, a series of 5 exercises, reported to be 2500 years old which were first publish in 1939 in a book by Peter Kelder called The Eye of Revelation. The stated benefits of these exercises include:
*Balance the chakras.
*Reverse the aging process.
*Emotional and mental health.
*Relief from joint pain and arthritis.
*Improved strength and coordination.
*Increasing Sexual Energy
Whether you have been practicing for 2 weeks or 20 years, you will benefit from this informative workshop. Ian Johnson and Leo Eisenstein will provide useful tips and tools to improve your practice and teach you new exercises (the 5 tibetans) which will compliment your practice and increase vitality.
